Acceptable use policy

What this installation may not be used for, and what happens when it is.

In force since Version 1.0

This policy says what this installation may not be used for. It is part of the terms, and a breach of it is a breach of them.

What is not allowed

Anything unlawful, or used to plan or help with something unlawful.

Anything that harms a person: harassment, threats, stalking, and content that sexualises minors. This is the line with no discussion behind it, and it ends access immediately.

Malware, phishing, fraud, or anything built to deceive somebody or take their credentials.

Content that infringes somebody else's rights, including copyright, and content that leaks somebody else's private information without their agreement.

Unsolicited bulk messages, and using the product to send them.

Attempts to break this installation or the services it runs on: probing for a way in, overloading it, scraping it, or going around an allowance, a rate limit or a plan.

Pretending to be somebody else in a way that misleads a person about who they are talking to.

How an account is metered

Allowances exist so the cost of the product stays predictable for everybody using it. Sharing one account to pool an allowance, or automating it to spend somebody else's, is a breach of this policy even when nothing else is.

When something is reported

A report goes to hello@jerrizz.com. Content is looked at by a person, and a decision is made on the evidence rather than on the volume of complaints. An account can be suspended while that happens if the harm is ongoing.

What happens after a breach

A first, minor breach usually gets a warning. A serious breach, or a second one, ends access and the plan. Where the law requires it, the matter is reported to the authorities instead of being handled here.

Appeals

If access was ended and you think that was wrong, write to hello@jerrizz.com with what happened. A person who was not part of the first decision reads the appeal.
